The rosette and the ruffled neckline

The back detail

I like the summery print and the lady loves the overall effect. She had insisted on the rosette, which was a good idea.

The rosette was made from this excellent tutorial (http://portabellopixie.typepad.com/portabellopixie/2008/07/rolled-roses.html) . Just not able to link it up.

For the bodice, used one of the previous patterns since they fit her well. For the skirt took 3 times the waist. The ruffles on the neck are almost four times. It’s a fully lined frock since the fabric needs body. Added buckram (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckram) on the hem of the lining for added stiffness at the hem. No, I did not use bookbinding buckram 🙂

Phew!
